The statue MERCURY in Rochester, N.Y. I made him disappear. |
|
He stands at 28ft. tall. He towers over the citizens of Rochester, New York. Through the rain, wind, sun and brutal cold he stands there. He has no choice because he is a statue....he is MERCURY the symbol for Rochester, New York and......... I made him disappear.
No curtains, no digital-effects, no special-effects are used. Through the sheer power of illusion and optical positioning he disappeared. The statue of MERCURY has been ontop of the Rochester horizon since Rochester's inception as a city. It is the most recognizable symbol or Rochester, N.Y., home to Bausch & Lomb, Xerox and Eastman Kodak. THE VANISHING OF MERCURY is an illusion-video that has several magical music-videos and of course 'THE VANISHING OF MERCURY'. The illusion was designed by James D. Watkins and the video was also written and directed by James D. Watkins.
