Having a strong imagination is a powerful thing. It also can be detrimental to one's personal psyche. PETER PAN is the epitome of fun, fantasy, dreams, imagination and immortality. My Neverland is my imagination and it is through my imagination that I will achieve immortality. But at what price must be paid for an IMMORTAL IMAGINATION?
Relationships have been destroyed. Friendships have been strained. Personal sacrifices are willingly made just so I may bring to fruition the ideas that are born from my imagination.
To me, there is no distinction between imagination and reality and that's where most of my issues and problems arise. There is no 'gray' area for me. It is either be a creator or be a consumer. Be an artist or run after the nightlife. Strive for your dreams or sit on your ass and wait for opportunities instead of creating them.
It's easy for people to call me crazy, obsessive and psychotic, but you know what? I get the job done. So many producers or artists start projects and never finish them because they don't have what it takes to cross that finish-line. But I get the job done and it's usually to my artistic satisfaction. But at what price?
I can use my imagination just as cunningly in my personal relationships as I do when I approach an artistic problem and that is not right. I have created scenarios that do not exist in reality but yet they live in my imagination and I tend to act out on them and it does not bode well in real life relationships. It has cost me dearly.
Am I proud of some of the things I have done in my relationships? No. Just as I am loyal to dear friends, I can also be just as vile, mean, rude, ruthless and nasty to others that oppose me. There is no 'gray' area for me. I've tried to change my ways but how can you change what you are not? Because if I do try to change....you know what scares me the most, that I wake up one day and I a normal, like YOU.
