"He has the character of force which is the stamp of genius, that variety which proclaims the fire of imagination, and that charm which proves an assured taste" - from Swiss philosophe & educator Auguste Tissot from the book 'MOZART: A LIFE' - Maynard Solomon
Ours is a culture of consumerism, materialistic worship and celebrity love. It has been that way since humans thought they knew what value meant. To a lot of people, if you are on t.v., in the movies, on the radio or are constantly visible then to those people or masses, that must mean you have value. It has gotten so bad that reality t.v. people and even t.v. newscasters are considered celebrities.
What is it about this celebrity love that makes most people look like fools? There is a HUGE difference between a celebrity and an artist and yet our culture continues to give unadulterated love and worship to these celebrities. Even though these 'celebrities' have H.I.V., rape people, fight people, steal from others, are racist, lie constantly, cheat others continously and constantly use others for either sex, money or power, our culture, our society still worships at the altar of 'celebrity' or 'celebrity-hood'. I, James D. Watkins, can create and execute a mass-marketing campaign and have the masses of society get upset and get rude and yet these are the SAME masses of people that will lick and lap-up anything a 'celebrity' does. Fascinating, baffling and pathetic.
This is what I will do; if any mass-consumer wishes to not receive any creative notices from James D. Watkins, PHOENIX PRODUCTIONS, ODYSSEY WORKS & ECLIPSE ENTERPRISES in any form - then all you have to do is simply respond back with the proper meaning of an ARTISTand a CELEBRITY and know the true difference between them and you'll be removed from ECLIPSE ENTERPRISES marketing. Here are the email to respond to: email@example.com.
