     Great art inspires good artists to become great. Case in point: PROJECT: ASCEND/ASCENT. This is a video-series about man-made superheroes and super villains. The premise is this; average citizens are recruited to take part of a deep-space program. As they prepare to go into deep-space, each are injected with a serum. Unknowingly to the participants, the serum has a side-effect once they reach deep-space. The particles of deep-space combined with the serum transforms and gives the participants abilities or powers once they return to earth. Some of the participants value and welcome their new found abilities, powers or gifts. Others are completely frighten by what they can do and have become and then there are those who only want to exercise their inner-demons by way of their powers and ability and will not let anyone stand in their way. Each episode of PROJECT: ASCEND/ASCENT is self-contained and is connected by the video-promo or video-introduction that will be at the beginning of each episode.

    I will readily admit  when inspiration is the driving force behind my work and PROJECT: ASCEND/ASCENT is inspired by the now-defunct television show called 'HEROES'. The first season of 'HEROES' was daring, brilliant, risque on the edge and audacious in its attempt for a weekly serialized show. 'PROJECT: ASCEND/ASCENT is somewhat of a homage to 'HEROES' but at the same time will strive to be unique and different in its own way. Created & devised by; James D. Watkins.
